My interests have shifted quite radically in the past few years, but lately I have thought of this journal and the thought is consistently this:

I am not dead.

This is not something I am finished with. It might shift its form a little bit, but it is not gone.

Not yet.

I simply thought you might be interested in knowing.

Then write your reaction to each pairing (or a snippet of a hypothetical fic featuring each pairing).

Axel/Dancer - You know it happened at least once. Axel was horny, Roxas wasn't interested, Demyx tried to have the Dancers shoo him out of the room and one of them got grabbed. And Demyx probably sat there watching the entire thing in more or less complete disbelief.

Dusk/Dusk Nobody - .......would that count as masturbation?

Kairi/Marluxia - This is disturbingly hot. It probably happened in a nightmare that came from having Naminé in her.

Naminé/Roxas - So very canon.

Sora/Vayne - ... ... ... Vayne and his attraction to young boys. Seriously. Sora was probably wandering around Arcadia while Donald and Goofy tried to fix the Gummy ship and reminded his majesty of Larsa. And if I'd ever actually seen the end of that game, I would probably write it.

Although, there are days I've felt like it. As such, I don't really have much to say.

So I will rant a little.

One of my greatest pet peeves is when someone who should know more than I on a subject does not. Most recent and recurring example is this:

I've never read Alice in Wonderland. I've never read Through the Looking Glass. I keep meaning to, but I've never really had time and a copy in the same place.

I do, however, have a very lovely illustrated version of Jabberwocky. At one point, I had it memorized. I've never had a problem, even when I first discovered the poem, realizing that the poem is Jabberwocky and the creature is the Jabberwock.

I therefore want to scream every time someone who has read the complete works, who has written fiction and drawn art based on the characters, refers to the creature as Jabberwocky...which happens all the time.

Honestly, it's almost as consistent as people referring to Frankenstein's monster as Frankenstein, only without the pop-culture-mis-label to support it.

It is highly aggravating.

And on that note, I think I shall go reread the poem and look at Graemme Base's lovely art.

I've been having to experiment with my drawing style lately and since this is my gaming/icon/experimental writing journal, it seems to make sense to make it my experimental art journal as well.

I doubt there will be much of it(then again, I doubted there would be as much writing as there has been).

The first piece I actually did in this style is in one of ceci's books and will remain there unless she feels the urge to scan it as it was a present for her. This...just wanted to be drawn.

Perhaps calling the pieces "drawings" is too much, but they are more developed than a sketch. The basic idea is not to erase any lines unless absolutely necissary (I erased one line in this picture, because I was going to have his mouth open at first and changed my mind). Instead, I go over the lines I like until they draw your attention away from the original guides. This has been cged, obviously, but the effect is very much the same as the original pencil piece.

Consider it an ambiance style, much like my writings.

I would like to object to the amount of hair used on your Disney Princess dolls. I have dehaired enough Barbie dolls to know that it's quite excessive. A fashion doll should not have more hair on her head than one and a half, possible two, My Little Ponies have on their entire bodies. I realize that My Little Pony is a Hasbro product, but that has no bearing.

As it is, I deeply regret that I thought of using hair from a Jasmine doll for my Dusk after I had purchased that and started dehairing that regular Nikki doll. Even though I've never actually seen one (which is probably why I didn't think of it), I'm fairly certain that the black would have been a better black for my purposes and there might, possibly, have been enough of it. Now I shall be stuck buying a second Nikki doll, possibly more, and while I like her face, I'm not that enamoured of the idea of making a set.

I can only be thankful that the particular shade of pink I need is popular among Ponies.

PS: Dixie was better.

Ceci is being rehaired with hair from the My Little Pony directly behind. It is a slow process because I have not found my heat gun yet. It is hiding in a box somewhere. I will not finish the dolls until I've found it or purchased another.

The Ceci doll. I was in Fred Meyer one day and saw the Disney Princess dolls. I thought to purchase a Belle for Ceci, but they had none. I got thinking about the Ceci and the Beast picture I coloured and decided I could customize one. I chose Aurora for her pink dress. The thing that pleases me the most about this doll so far is that the paint I mixed for her eyebrows matches the original Mattel lipstick perfectly. ♥

I like sets, so I decided to make myself a Dusk doll. I originally used Cinderella for the blue dress, but I disliked the face. Done in the pale purples with dark eyebrows, she looked like a prostitute. I hope to salvage the head and turn it into a sellable custom, but for myself I bought a second Aurora, because I much prefer her face. The lipstick needs cleaning up, but it still looks much better than the first. She will still wear the Cinderella dress.

(For the record, the skin does not look quite so dark in real life. Darker than it should, but not as dark as in the picture)

Because I can, a picture of an Esmeralda doll I bought at the Salvation Army that I'm in the process of redoing. Her hair was horrible, but the rest was fine. I pulled out her earring because it was gaudy and will rehair her with blended black, red-brown, brown, and red hair. She should look very...wild when I'm done, hopefully. I will eventually sell her on eBay.

I quite like Esmeralda. She's pretty.

I am perhaps overly fond of having my wallpaper and winamp skin match. It amuses me. The last skin I made was done last summer. It will have been a year in two months. Given that when I first discovered skinning I gave myself tendonitis making skins, this says much. However, I've had oddly little luck finding good KH skins (or any KH skins, for that matter), and so.

If anyone wants a copy, drop me an email. I'm perfectly willing to share with my friends. ♥ Although I warn you, the text is a touch illegible in places, so familiarity with the program is rather essential. I erred slightly more on the side of pretty with this one.

I just looked at my icon gallery and realized it holds 161 images. Granted, many of those are variations, but still, 161 images.

Most of them are probably not being used by anyone. Most probably never will. A great many, I am no longer pleased with. But that is not the point.

The point is that I was inspired to make that many icons. I was inspired to share that many icons. As many of those icons are variations, still many are gifts or shards of inspiration created by the stories and thoughts of those of you I think of as friends.

I thank you all. I wish you all well, now and always.

And for the multiple people I know who are having spring ant problems - I recommend Ant b' Gone ant bait. It only really eleminates the problem if you can find the nest, but it still helps.

Well, I have a new job. I start on Monday. This is good, because it will mean considerably more money. However -

It will also mean less freetime in the future and, at the moment, is meaning enough stress that I'm suffering low grade anxiety attacks. Not enough to be alarming, but enough that it's hard to concentrate and be at ease when I'm alone.

I live alone. This is...not the best.

Fortunately I work tomorrow and Saturday at my current job (making the shift from the one to the other is the worst cause of stress, I think) and have plans to spend Friday evening with friends, so I should surrvive until Monday without too much discomfort. I am mostly making this post because, if things go the way I suspect they will, I will be working seven days a week for the rest of the month, starting on Monday. I will, therefore, be scarce online.

I thought it best to let everyone know.

Somewhere in this song there is a Luxord icon, possibly a fic as well, but I'm not certain where...and either a Xemnas/Xehanort/Ansem one or Marluxia x Naminè in this one.

It is odd, going through these lyrics, to see songs I've heard as covers but never realized were his. Before, I never made the connection, but as soon as I see them, it's so very, very obvious I wonder how I could have missed it.
